We are seeking a skilled and dedicated IT professional to join our dynamic team at Malvern Optical Limited. As an IT engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our IT systems, supporting end-users, and contributing to the overall IT infrastructure of the organization.
This role requires technical expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software systems.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and security settings.
- Maintain and update system documentation.
- Monitor and optimize system performance.
- Implement and maintain data backup and recovery procedures.
- Conduct regular system and security audits.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Maintain an awareness of IT best practices.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience in IT support, system administration, or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of networking principles, server administration, and operating systems.
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies and cloud platforms.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £30,000 - £50,000 per year
