We are seeking a highly skilled Curriculum Manager to develop the High Needs / SEND curriculum, ensuring that the offer meets the needs of learners, employers, and addresses local and commercial priorities.

Main Duties:

  • Lead Curriculum Development: Oversee the development of the curriculum from design to successful delivery, ensuring that it meets the needs of learners and employers.
  • Achieve Excellent Outcomes: Motivate, inspire, and effectively manage staff performance, PDRs, and development within the curriculum area.
  • Work with Quality Teams: Collaborate with Quality teams and colleagues to achieve excellent Teaching, Learning, and Assessment, support Deep Dives, and continuous professional development activities.
  • Lead and Manage Teams: Successfully lead and manage teams to achieve the college's KPIs for Attendance, working collaboratively with the Personal Development Team and Attendance and Pastoral Officers.
  • Curriculum Operations: Effectively lead and manage curriculum operations, including reviews, planning, and processes, and the overall development of the curriculum and extracurricular activities.

Role Requirements:

  • Consistent High Performance: Evidence of consistent high performance in curriculum and people management, reflected in outcomes for learners and financial performance.
  • Sending Strategic Initiatives: Evidence of successfully embedding strategic initiatives into operational departments.
  • Cross-College Projects: Experience of leading cross-college projects and collaborating with key stakeholders within the further education sector.
  • Quality Improvement Processes: Experience of managing and implementing FE quality improvement processes.
  • Qualifications: Possession of a qualification at level 3 or above, a management qualification, or management training.
  • SEND Curriculum: Experience developing High Needs/SEND curriculum and managing SEND funding.
  • Teaching Qualification: Possession of a teaching qualification.
