Planning Lawyer Role

Service Care Legal is working on behalf of a London Borough Council to find a skilled Planning Lawyer to join their team on a permanent basis.

Job Purpose

The successful candidate will provide high-level legal advice to the Council, its members, and officers on Planning, Regeneration, and Highways matters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the management of the legal department
  • Provide expert legal advice on Planning, Regeneration, and Highways matters
  • Serve as a key contact for senior officers and members regarding legal issues
  • Contribute to corporate policy and strategy development
Requirements
  • Qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or FILEX
  • Significant Continuing Professional Development (CPD) in planning law
  • Strong understanding of risk management in corporate governance
  • Well-developed expertise in planning law and local government law
