As a member of our Paediatric Intensive Care Unit team at The Portland Hospital, you will be part of a dynamic and supportive environment, working alongside a dedicated team of professionals who share your passion for delivering exceptional care to critically ill children.

Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to take charge of the unit in the absence of the Sister/Charge nurse, developing and implementing holistic care plans, and mentoring junior staff members. As a Senior Staff Nurse on our PICU, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and experience in a leading healthcare provider.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate holistic care plans for children in partnership with the wider multidisciplinary team
  • Act as a role model and mentor to junior/student nurses
  • Use interpersonal skills to develop long-standing relationships with children and their families
  • Experience of supervising and assessing students and shift leading is desirable
