We are seeking an experienced SEN Teacher to join our team in a lovely SEN school in Uxbridge. As an SEN Teacher, you will play a crucial role in providing a nurturing and inclusive learning environment for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other Special Educational Needs (SEN).
Responsibilities:- Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to the specific needs and abilities of ASD/SLD children at Key Stage 2.
- Create and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) that address the unique learning requirements of each student, focusing on their academic progress and personal growth.
- Employ effective behaviour management strategies to support students with additional needs and ensure a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Collaborate with the school's leadership team, SENCo, and other professionals to develop and implement appropriate interventions and support strategies.
- Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and adapting teaching approaches to meet individual learning styles.
- Work closely with teaching assistants and support staff to provide targeted support and ensure the well-being of all students.
- Promote a culture of respect, diversity, and inclusivity within the school community.
- Keep abreast of the latest developments in special education and incorporate evidence-based practices into teaching methodologies.
This full-time role offers working hours between 8.30am and 4.00pm, Monday to Friday. You will have the opportunity to work in a school that boasts a fantastic leadership team and provides excellent resources for both staff and students.
