Remote Drylining Estimation Opportunity

We are currently seeking an experienced Drylining Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in estimating drylining packages for high-rise residential projects and extensive experience working with leading house builder companies.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Drylining Estimator to work remotely, contributing to key projects across the UK. The successful candidate will have the ability to review and interpret architectural and structural drawings, specifications, and tender documentation to produce high-quality tenders.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with project managers, quantity surveyors, and procurement teams to ensure correct pricing and tendering of drylining packages.
  2. Evaluate subcontractor quotes and liaise with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing.
  3. Maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and suppliers, ensuring clear communication throughout the tendering process.
  4. Conduct site visits when necessary to assess project requirements and confirm specifications (occasional travel may be required).
  5. Regularly review and update cost databases, market prices, and industry trends to ensure accurate pricing.
  6. Work closely with the commercial and operations teams to identify cost-saving opportunities and ensure profitability on projects.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Drylining Estimator, preferably with a focus on high-rise residential projects.
  • Strong knowledge of drylining systems, materials, and installation processes.
  • Proficiency in estimation software (such as Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or similar) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently in a remote working environment.

A relevant degree in construction management, quantity surveying, or a related field is desirable but not essential.
