SEND Coordinator Opportunity
We are seeking a dedicated SEND Coordinator to lead and develop our inclusive SEND provision, ensuring every child receives the support they need to thrive. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for shaping and implementing our SEND policy, managing day-to-day operations, and working closely with teachers, parents, and external agencies to support children with additional needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Shaping and implementing the school's SEND policy in alignment with school-wide goals
- Managing day-to-day operations of SEND provision, ensuring the best outcomes for pupils with SEND or disabilities
- Working closely with teachers, parents, and external agencies to support children with additional needs
- Monitoring and reviewing the quality of SEND provision across the school and contributing to school self-evaluation
- Advising colleagues on best practices for teaching students with SEND, guiding the school's SEND resources and funding
- Leading intervention groups and supporting teaching assistants in delivering effective support
About You:
- Be able to do the job as described
- Qualified as a SENDCo or demonstrate a strong passion for working with children with additional needs and a willingness to undertake relevant qualifications
- Experience in teaching children with a variety of needs and working alongside multiple professionals
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage SEND provision and inspire others to support the school's inclusive vision
- Have excellent communication skills for liaising with external agencies, parents, and staff members
