**Job Title:** Therapeutic Care Worker

Estimated Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum

Job Description

In this rewarding role as a Senior Residential Childcare Worker with SGS Care Ltd, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and young people.

You will be responsible for delivering therapeutic caregiving on a shift pattern, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, bank holidays, sleeping-in duties, and lone working.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Improve the lives of children and young people through relationship-based caregiving.
  • Model attachment-informed approaches to ensure the safety, growth, and development of children.
  • Establish caring relationships with children and engage them in developmentally appropriate activities.
  • Fulfill tasks outlined in children's care plans and support their access to health services.
  • Meet children and young people's education and training needs.
  • Support children to access advocacy and children's rights services.
  • Attend meetings to support and advocate for children.

To Manage A Care Team:

  • Ensure carers are aware of each child's care plan and responsibilities.
  • Plan shifts and ensure their smooth running.
  • Offer 1:1 supervision to carers.
  • Ensure carers work within home's policies and procedures.
  • Chair children's meetings and facilitate consultation.
