Solar PV Lead Engineer

Job Summary

The Green Recruitment Company is seeking a highly skilled Solar PV Lead Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our renewable energy consultancy, you will be responsible for overseeing solar PV projects and leading a team of engineers to deliver high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Management
    • Oversee technical due diligence projects, ensuring timely completion and high-quality deliverables.
    • Assess technology and design aspects of renewable energy projects, providing technical insights to stakeholders.
    • Evaluate various agreements, including interconnection agreements, power purchase agreements, and financial models.
    • Review energy resource and yield assessments, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
    • Conduct site inspections to ensure project compliance and quality.
  • Team Leadership
    • Lead a team of engineers, providing guidance and support to ensure project success.
    • Develop and implement project plans, ensuring effective resource allocation and budget management.
    • Collaborate with global teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Technical Expertise
    • Hold a BSc/MSc in Engineering or a related field.
    • Demonstrated experience in providing technical advisory services for solar projects.
    • Profound understanding of the technical due diligence scope of solar projects.
    • Hands-on involvement with both greenfield and operational projects.
  • Communication and Client Management
    • Excellent communication and reporting skills, with the ability to present complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
    • Adept client management, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
    • Fluency in English (additional languages are advantageous).

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in engineering consulting, with a focus on solar PV projects.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong technical expertise, with a deep understanding of solar PV technology and project development.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team of engineers.
