Supporting Young Learners in Primary Settings

**Role Summary:** Smile Education is seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team and work on a supply basis in primary schools across Smethwick and the surrounding areas. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting teachers and pupils, promoting positive learning outcomes and contributing to a safe and inclusive classroom environment.
**About the Position:** This is a varied role, providing opportunities to work with different age groups, teachers, and pupils. You will be responsible for supporting the class teacher with lesson preparation, delivering targeted support to pupils, and maintaining accurate records of pupil progress.
**Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the class teacher to develop and implement lesson plans.
- Deliver one-to-one and small group support to pupils, including those with special educational needs.
- Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and attainment.
- Contribute to creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with colleagues and pupils.
**Requirements:
- Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
- Previous experience in a primary school setting is highly desirable.
- A strong commitment to supporting pupil learning and well-being.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities.
- A valid Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply).
- Right to work in the UK.
**Estimated Daily Rate:** £60-80
