The Job:

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Commercial Estimator to join our client's team. As a key member of the groundworks department, you will be responsible for estimating and preparing tender submissions for civil engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Estimating and preparing tender submissions from first principles.
  • Working closely with commercial and procurement colleagues to identify sub-contractor packages and prepare enquiries.
  • Contributing to the risk review/assessment process where required.
  • Supporting and coaching junior members of the team.

Requirements:

  • Experience as an Estimator or Senior Estimator, preferably in the civil engineering/groundworks sector.
  • Contractual and commercial awareness, with the ability to understand and interpret drawings and construction information.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build lasting relationships with colleagues, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.

Salary: The salary for this role is £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Location: This position is based in Purfleet, Essex.
