Day Refrigeration/AC Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Day Refrigeration/AC Engineer to join our team at a critical site in Welwyn Garden City.

The Role:

  1. Carry out planned preventative maintenance to building services equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  2. Respond to reactive and emergency breakdown tasks allocated to resolve issues promptly and minimize downtime.
  3. Conduct inspections, fault finding, and diagnosis to identify and rectify problems.
  4. Ensure all tasks are completed in accordance with agreed service levels to meet customer expectations.
  5. Utilize electronic job sheets on a Tablet or Smartphone to record and track work activities.
  6. Maintain accurate site-based records and log books, including F-gas documentation.
  7. Perform general cleaning and housekeeping to maximize the life expectancy of all equipment.
  8. Proactively work to reduce energy consumption on client sites and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency.
  9. Adhere to all health, safety, compliance, and local policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  10. Maintain excellent relationships with our Dalkia team and customers through face-to-face, telephone, and email communication.
  11. Ensure correct stock levels are maintained to support ongoing operations.

Hours of Work:

  1. Days shifts, Monday to Friday (8am-5pm).

Qualifications and Experience Required:

  1. F-Gas Category 1 certification.
  2. City & Guilds level 2/3 in Electrical Engineering.
  3. Commercial building maintenance experience in a customer-facing environment.
  4. Experience with downflow units, CRAC units, and split units.
