This is a unique opportunity to join Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust as a Consultant Obstetrician, working in a joint post with the Women's and Care Group at William Harvey Hospital, East Kent Hospitals Foundation Trust. The Trusts are seeking a full-time Consultant to develop the Fetal Medicine and high risk obstetric service at William Harvey, and the expanding Fetal Medicine service and high risk, obstetric and maternal medicine service at Guys and St Thomas' Hospital.
Main DutiesThe post holder will undertake regular labour ward days at Guys and St Thomas' Hospital, as well as weekday and weekend obstetric on calls. The role includes a weekly antenatal clinic at both Guys and St Thomas' and William Harvey Hospitals, as well as Fetal Medicine sessions across both Trusts.

This includes asking certain groups of staff to work more flexibly so that we can offer services to patients in the evenings and at weekends. We regard this flexibility as essential if we are to continue to provide first class patient care in the future.
Requirements- Full UK GMC registration and a Licence to Practise.
- Entry onto the GMC Specialist Register or eligibility for entry within six months of the date of the Interview.
- MRCOG or equivalent specialist qualification.
- Subspecialty training in Maternal-fetal medicine
- ATSM in Advanced Labour ward practice Or advanced antenatal care
- Clinical leadership experience as an operational lead for a clinical service or area
- Clinical skills required to work as a consultant in Obstetrics and gynaecology in the UK
- Subspecialty training in Obstetric scanning and maternal medicine
Please note that successful completion of the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is our accepted minimum language requirement.
