About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Dental Nurse to join our team in the Head and Neck outpatients department. As a key member of our nursing team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and assisting in the delivery of specialist dental services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and decontamination of instruments and equipment for specialist procedures
  • Provide chair-side nursing assistance in orthodontic operative procedures and assist surgeons in oral and maxillofacial minor oral surgery operations
  • Assist in the organisation of new patient and review clinics in orthodontics, oral and maxillofacial surgery, and ENT
  • Supervise trainee and unqualified staff as required in the department
  • Be accountable for own professional actions under General Dental Council guidelines

Requirements

  • National Dental Nurse Certificate or NVQ LEVEL 3 IN Oral Care
  • Oral Health Education Diploma or Equivalent
  • Registered GDC
  • Knowledge of range of dental procedures in specialist areas of maxillo-facial and orthodontics
  • Manual Dexterity
  • Sound knowledge of decontamination and sterilisation
  • Post Qualification experience
