About the Role

Alpha Choice Construction Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Brick Mason to join our team. We are looking for an experienced professional with a strong background in masonry and bricklaying to work on various construction projects.

  • Key Responsibilities
  1. Lay bricks, blocks, and other masonry units according to specifications and plans.
  2. Measure and cut materials to size using hand tools and power tools.
  3. Mix mortar and other bonding agents as required for construction projects.
  4. Construct walls, chimneys, arches, and other structures using masonry techniques.
  5. Repair existing brickwork by replacing damaged bricks or repointing joints.
  6. Collaborate with other construction professionals such as carpenters and welders to ensure project completion.
  7. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following health and safety regulations.
  8. Inspect completed work for quality assurance and compliance with building codes.
  • Requirements
  1. Proven experience in bricklaying or masonry is essential.
  2. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools related to masonry work.
  3. Knowledge of construction methods and materials used in masonry.
  4. Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
  5. Physical fitness with the ability to lift heavy materials (up to 25 kg) and perform manual tasks for extended periods.
  6. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  7. Previous experience in roofing or related fields is advantageous but not essential.
  8. A valid driver's licence may be required for transportation to job sites.
