Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Pool Safety Professional to join our team at the Y in Central Maryland. As a key member of our aquatic operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of all swimmers during operating hours.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure a safe and clean environment for all pool users by maintaining accurate chemical readings and adjusting pool conditions as necessary.
  • Responsible for the interpretation and enforcement of all pool rules, promoting a professional image and maintaining a clean and safe environment at all times.
  • Engage with participants, orient and assist when not actively guarding, and provide exceptional customer service.
Requirements
  • Current CPR/AED/O2/First Aid certification.
  • Successful completion of the Y in Central Maryland swim test.
  • Flexible schedule and ability to work with diverse populations.
Estimated Salary Range

$40,000 - $55,000 per year based on experience and qualifications.
