About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Senior Social Worker to join our Foster Care team at New Chapters Fostercare Limited. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting our foster carers and ensuring the best possible outcomes for the children in our care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide supervision and support to foster carers, including attending reviews and developing professional development plans.
  • Prepare reports for approved foster carers and assist with their ongoing training and development.
  • Participate in case conferences and planning meetings for children in placement.
  • Match children with appropriate foster families and ensure all legal paperwork is completed.
  • Ensure foster carers meet the needs of the children in their care.
  • Have a good understanding of Safeguarding and Child Protection Procedures.
  • Be registered with Social Work England and maintain your registration.
  • Support recruitment of potential foster carers and completing Form F Assessments as required.
  • Promote the fostering service in the local community and attend marketing events.
  • Maintain your professional knowledge and adhere to clear desk and data protection policies.
Requirements
  • Experience in childcare, family placement work and/or child protection.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • A full driving licence with business insurance cover.
