About the Role:

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Sigma Recruitment, you will play a pivotal role in driving mechanical engineering standards within a lean, Total Quality Management (TQM) environment. You will be responsible for developing and implementing long-term maintenance strategies that reduce reactive maintenance, providing a proactive approach to asset care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement long-term maintenance strategies to reduce reactive maintenance
  • Lead and mentor maintenance technicians and contractors to ensure high-performance standards
  • Spearhead the design and installation of new mechanical equipment to enhance production efficiency

Requirements:
  • Proven track record in mechanical maintenance within heavy industrial settings
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics, with a knack for solving complex engineering challenges
  • Qualifications: Degree in mechanical engineering or HNC/HND with significant experience
