We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our team at a great mainstream secondary school in the Chelmsford area. The successful candidate will have a nationally recognised qualification in literacy and numeracy at level two or higher, as well as knowledge and experience of inclusive education, behaviour management and special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support students with a range of SEND in a mainstream secondary school setting
  • Foster great relationships with students and staff
  • Support a teacher in delivering engaging lessons
  • Work across a range of settings within the school, from SEND to taking lead within classrooms
Requirements:
  • Nationally recognised qualification in literacy and numeracy at level two or higher
  • Knowledge and experience of inclusive education, behaviour management and special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)
  • Excellent classroom management
