Job Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled professional to join our team as a Head of Project Recovery. This role involves leading the development of contract and commercial strategies to recover performance of distressed projects or major programmes. The successful applicant will have a strong background in construction law and a proven track record of successfully resolving complex claims and disputes.

About the Role:

  • This is an opportunity for a highly motivated and driven individual to work independently and adapt to the working methods of others.
  • The majority of practice can be delivered remotely, with occasional travel opportunities.
  • A flexible working basis is required to meet client deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of contract and commercial strategies to recover performance of distressed projects or major programmes.
  • Work closely with clients and supply-chain partners to identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement commercial recovery strategies to minimize losses.
  • Provide expert advice on construction law and contracts.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • A construction-related degree qualification and/or legal qualification is required.
  • Experience in leading claims up or down the supply-chain to successful negotiated resolution is essential.
  • A working knowledge of quantity surveying, commercial management applications and technologies is necessary.

Compensation:

The estimated salary for this role is £100,000 - £140,000 per annum, depending on experience. Benefits include a flexible working basis, occasional travel opportunities, and the chance to work on challenging and highly technical projects globally.
