Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Tax Manager to join our in-house tax team, reporting to the Chief Financial Officer and Finance Partner. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of RSM partnership and partners' tax compliance, ensuring timely and accurate completion of tax compliance matters for 10 RSM LLPs and circa 400 partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Liaise with RSM's IT development team to update and improve portals used by partners to provide tax information.">
  • Prepare yearly tax calculations for partners' tax reserves on annual drawings.">
  • Review partnership tax computations prepared by our Corporate Reporting team and discuss with the CFO for sign off.">
  • Provide feedback and training to the Corporate Reporting team on partnership tax computations.">
  • Prepare tax reserve calculations for RSM partners on their total income.">
  • Prepare partnership tax returns for review and approval and submit to HMRC.">
  • Review RSM partner tax returns before issuing to partners for review and approval.">
  • Prepare partnership tax liability cashflow forecasts.">
  • Coordinate and review payment of income tax on behalf of partners via composite tax payment.">
  • Liaise with the Finance Partner to answer queries on partners' tax reserve balances during yearly reconciliation process.">
  • To be familiar with the RSM LLP Members Agreement and understand its financial implications.">
  • Liaise with the Finance Partner; review RSM partners' position in relation to HMRC's Salaried Member rules; and report to the CFO and Finance Partner findings and recommended actions.">
  • Provide ad-hoc tax advice to partners and respond to HMRC enquiries.">
  • Prepare yearly charity repayment claim and two trust tax returns.">
  • Develop policy documentation for risk management and process improvement purposes, in relation to RSM partnership and partners' tax.">
  • Meet CPD requirements.">
  • Develop an understanding of the firm's culture and strategy and how change is achieved, whilst being a custodian of the firm's values.">

Estimated Salary

">

£80,000 - £120,000 per annum.
