About the Role

Häfele UK Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Sustainability Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our supply chain is responsibly managed and aligned with local regulatory requirements and global group activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive sustainable initiatives and compliance across the UK business, working closely with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure these topics are top of mind and integrated into daily operations.
  • Develop and maintain product compliance policies, ensuring adherence to standards such as WEEE, COSHH, UKCA, RoHS, and more.
  • Lead efforts to evaluate and improve our environmental footprint, including energy and waste stream reduction plans.
  • Collaborate with supply chain partners to ensure sustainable product sourcing, manage supply chain audits, and develop dashboards for reporting compliance and sustainability metrics.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert, engaging with customers, suppliers, and the wider Häfele Group to benchmark and set sustainability goals.
Requirements
  • Over 5 years of relevant experience, including leadership roles in a warehouse or production environment.
  • Knowledge of both Social and Environmental responsibility in the supply chain.
  • Knowledge of sustainability practices in a wide range of industries, including electronic, metal hardware, and wood products.
  • Knowledge and experience in chain of custody, traceability, and regulatory for electronic, metal hardware, and wood products.
  • Project Management skills and a proven ability to manage complex projects and initiatives, with excellent analytical and data management skills.
  • Communication skills and ability to effectively translate regulatory requirements and sustainability practices across the business.
  • Strategic thinker and to translate plans into actionable steps, driving continuous improvement and innovation.
