About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dietitian to join our team at East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust. As a Senior Clinical Dietitian, you will be responsible for providing a high-quality dietetic service to patients in the acute sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead clinical Dietitian for Nutrition Team providing a source of expertise to patients, carers, medical practitioners and allied health professionals and social care professionals as part of the multidisciplinary team.
  • To be responsible for delivery of a high quality, evidence based dietetic service to a complex caseload of patients on surgical and other wards as required holding responsibility for defined projects.
  • Contribute to ward rounds as part of the nutrition team and provide specialist input for a range of patients including those requiring parenteral and enteral nutrition.
  • Supplementary prescribing of parenteral nutrition and associated medications where appropriate.
  • Act as department lead for Nutrition Support and develop service including protocols and guidelines underpinned by clinical governance framework.
  • To work with and supervise junior staff members within the acute team
