SEND Teaching Assistant Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistant to join our team at Academics Ltd. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide 1:1 and group support to students with SEND needs.
  • Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering tailored learning activities.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Help implement individual education plans (IEPs) to support the learning of children with SEND.
  • Work closely with other professionals, including speech therapists and educational psychologists.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working as a SEND Teaching Assistant, either in a mainstream school or a SEND provision.
  • Strong understanding of SEND needs, including autism, ADHD, and communication difficulties.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A patient, compassionate, and proactive approach to supporting children with additional needs.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
