Minibus Driver Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and trustworthy Minibus Driver to join our team at MC Personnel. As a Minibus Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting workers to and from their places of work in our fleet of modern and well-maintained minibuses.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct daily vehicle checks and ensure all necessary documentation is up to date.
  • Drive a minibus in a safe and professional manner, adhering to all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Follow a pre-organised bus route and timetable, contacting passengers who are not at their designated pick-up point.
  • Liaise with the office team to resolve any issues or concerns.
  • Take payment from passengers using a card reader and make notes of any passengers who are unable to make payment.
  • Hand out PPE to passengers as required.
  • Pick up passengers for the return journey and drop them back at their designated pick-up points.
  • Use an App to clock in and out and record hours.
  • Correctly use a Tacho card.
  • Undertake private hire runs as required.
Requirements:
  • UK Driving Licence (standard for 8 seaters)
  • D1 category with the 101 removed (for Hire & Reward) for 16 seaters
  • Digital Tacho Card
  • CPC Drivers Card
  • Previous driving experience is desirable.
  • CRB check will be carried out (paid for by the company)
  • Future training and card renewals will be paid for by the company.
  • MUST be reliable and have excellent timekeeping.
  • MUST be trustworthy and honest as will be in charge of vehicles and passengers.
Benefits:
  • Competitive pay rates: £12.00 per hour for 8 seater drivers and £14.00 per hour for 16 seater drivers, plus enhancements for overtime or unsociable hours.
