Role Overview
A Medical Assessor at Maximus will use their clinical expertise to understand how a person's disability or health condition affects their daily life. This involves working on complex cases involving physical and mental health conditions and chronic pain disorders, while providing compassionate support to customers. The ideal candidate will have valid HCPC registration number, at least 1 year of broad post-registration experience gained within or outside of an NHS ambulance trust, and excellent oral and written communication skills. They should also be comfortable using computer software to type and produce detailed reports. A salary of £37,800 is offered, along with flexible working options and ongoing CPD, clinical development, and reimbursed validation fees.

Job Description
As a Medical Assessor, you will conduct telephone, video or face-to-face assessments to understand how a person's disability or health condition affects their daily life. You will produce Personal Independent Payment (PIP) reports to help the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) determine a person's eligibility for benefits. Your clinical knowledge and assessment skills will be developed through regular feedback and supervision.
