Personal Tax Senior Opportunity

Bryony Gibson Consulting is seeking a highly skilled Personal Tax Senior to join their team in Bishop Auckland. As a key member of the tax team, you will support the Tax Partner in delivering tax compliance and advisory services to clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and file a wide range of income tax returns for Directors, HNWI's, Partnerships, and Sole Traders.
  • Support the Tax Partner with tax planning and provide day-to-day advice on personal taxation and OMB, including tax codings, capital gains, inheritance tax, capital allowances, self-assessment liabilities, payments on account, and payroll queries.
  • Deal with personal tax and OMB clients face-to-face and via telephone to discuss tax issues.
  • Communicate with HMRC regarding penalty appeals, interest objections, enquiries, adjustments, and general day-to-day issues.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 2-3 years' experience completing personal tax returns in a professional services environment.
  • Working knowledge of CCH or similar tax software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Able to use initiative to explore planning research projects.
  • ATT qualified or part-qualified desirable.

The successful candidate will work in the office, with flexibility on hours where needed. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge working alongside the Tax Partner.
