About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Account Executive to join our team at Howden, Corporate & Commercial. As an Account Executive, you will play a key role in developing and maintaining strong relationships with our clients, providing them with expert advice and guidance on their commercial insurance needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, identifying new business opportunities and providing them with tailored insurance solutions.
  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, working closely with our sales team to develop and implement effective marketing strategies.
  • Insurance Expertise: Provide expert advice and guidance to clients on their commercial insurance needs, ensuring they are correctly and adequately insured for all of their exposures.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with our Account and Claims Handlers to ensure seamless communication and delivery of client service standards.
  • Sales Targets: Contribute to the achievement of sales targets, working closely with our sales team to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Professional Development: Maintain professional competence by complying with our Training and Competence procedures, ensuring you have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide expert advice to our clients.
Requirements
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years' experience in providing specialist advice in the insurance market.
  • Qualifications: Qualified to a minimum of Dip CII.
  • Skills: Excellent technical insurance skills, excellent client service skills, excellent negotiation and broking skills, ability to persuade and influence others, excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to gather and analyse information from the client, good understanding of Corporate Governance, financial awareness, and how a business works.
