Job Overview

Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a skilled Plumber to join its Estates Maintenance Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing plumbing-related plant and equipment at the Trust's properties.

Main Responsibilities
  • Undertake routine maintenance and repairs to water and drainage systems, including complex hot and cold water distribution systems, sanitary fittings, and drainage systems.
  • Ensure compliance with all current legislation, particularly regarding legionella control.
  • Work as part of a diverse maintenance team, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to learn new techniques.
  • Participate in the on-call rota, providing emergency plumbing services as required.
Requirements
  • City & Guilds Level 3 Advanced Technical Craft Certificate or equivalent qualification (e.g., NVQ 3, BTEC National Certificate/Diploma, or ONC/OND qualification).
  • Completed a recognized Plumbing apprenticeship with a high level of competence and experience in complex building services.
  • Thorough knowledge and expertise of new water and drainage installation, including legionella control.
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience in a similar role.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Health & Safety qualification.
  • Manual Handling training.
  • Working at Heights training.
  • Gas certificate for commercial and domestic use (Gas Safe registration).
