Catering Manager

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Catering Manager to join our team at Devonshire House in Sudbury. As a key member of our catering team, you will be responsible for delivering a high-quality catering service to our residents, ensuring that every meal is a delight for the senses.

Key Responsibilities

• Deputise for the Chef Manager and manage every aspect of catering within the location.
• Supervise the catering assistants on shift and ensure that they are equipped to deliver exceptional service.
• Maintain compliance with food safety and health & safety procedures, ensuring that our residents receive the highest standard of care.
• Minimise waste when preparing meals and use equipment correctly, promoting sustainability and efficiency in our kitchen.

Requirements

• Intermediate or level 3 food hygiene certificate with Cater craft or similar award.
• Health & safety legislation including control of substances harmful to health (COSHH) and food safety standards.
• Proven chef and people management experience, with a track record of delivering high-quality results.
• Basic knowledge of dietary requirements relating to older people, ensuring that our residents receive tailored and nutritious meals.
• Safe use of kitchen equipment, including knives, to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
