We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Early Years Practitioner to join our team at Eliteemployment. As an Early Years Practitioner, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to young children in our nursery.
Key Responsibilities:
- To design and implement engaging indoor and outdoor play experiences that cater to the diverse needs and interests of children, aligning with the policies of the nursery and the guidelines of the Early Years Foundation Stage.
- To collaborate with the Lead Practitioner and other team members to plan and deliver activity programs that promote children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
- To maintain a safe and healthy environment for children, adhering to the nursery's policies and procedures, and reporting any incidents or accidents to the Lead Practitioner and/or Manager.
- To work closely with the Lead Practitioner and other team members to ensure the smooth operation of the nursery, including maintaining accurate records and communicating effectively with parents and colleagues.
- To provide support and guidance to students and colleagues, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- To stay up-to-date with current childcare issues, legislation, and best practices, and to share knowledge and expertise with the team.
- To contribute to the development of the nursery's policies and procedures, and to participate in training sessions and staff meetings as necessary.
Requirements:
- A Level 2 or 3 qualification in childcare or a related field.
- Proven experience in childcare, with a strong understanding of child development and learning principles.
- Basic knowledge of health and safety procedures, and the ability to complete risk assessments.
- Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding good practice, and the ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion.
- Paediatric First Aid certification.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
Location: Greater London
Salary: £ – £ dependent on experience and qualifications
Hours: 40 – 42.5 hours, Monday to Friday
