Job Title: Structured Cable Engineer

DCS Recruitment is seeking an experienced Structured Cable Engineer to join their team in Peterborough. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out fault investigations and resolutions, including new cabling, installation of wireless APs, alteration of EPOS, and containment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Hold a valid CSCS/ECS/Equivalent structured cabling/comms industry related card.
  • Hold a valid UKATA asbestos awareness certificate (this can be done online prior to start).
  • Hold a valid IPAF licence for categories 3a and 3b for cabling at high level.
  • Be able to provide relevant work references prior to start.
  • Have access to a PC/Laptop to complete free, online training prior to start – this will last for 12 months and opens the door for more work opportunities during this time.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structured cabling and communication systems, with experience in fault investigation and resolution. They will also have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
