About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Conference and Events Duty Manager to join our team at The Oval. As a key member of our events team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of all events, conferences, and match day hospitality at The Oval.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strong leadership and ensure the smooth running and execution of all events, conferences, and match day hospitality.
- Work closely with the C/E sales team to ensure all operational details are discussed and agreed with event organizers and attend site visits.
- Ensure all event organizers and clients receive a warm welcome and excellent customer service throughout the event.
- Manage a team of Managers and Supervisors to ensure the highest level of service at all times.
- Prepare and conduct briefings with managers and staff and manage training and development programs for the C/E team.
- Have a good working knowledge of in-built AV systems and provide training to Event Managers/Supervisors.
- Work closely with AV suppliers to order AV equipment as per requirements and manage costs.
- Ensure all admin/paperwork and signage for events are produced and distributed before events.
- Have a good working knowledge of Till systems and ensure closing down bars and security of stock.
- Maintain and keep all storage locations to par levels and ensure the maintenance of all catering equipment.
