Production Manager

Smulders is seeking a Production Manager to join their team in Newcastle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Reporting to the Director of Smulders Projects UK, the successful candidate will be responsible for project management, including contact and information provision to project managers and management.
- Quality Assurance: The Production Manager will draw up job competencies, provide input for management review meetings, and implement safety standards and procedures in the production department.
- Safety: The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing safety standards and procedures, contributing to the drafting of an annual action plan, and leading by example in relation to health, safety, and environmental standards.
- HRM: The Production Manager will instruct production leaders and supervisors, set up the production organizational structure, input performances of subcontractors, and implement environmental standards and procedures.
- Production: The successful candidate will collect basic information for the LT plan per project, follow up production progress, check the weekly planning, control the entire production, and draw up a control strategy.
- Maintenance, Inspection & Calibration: The Production Manager will adjust maintenance plans.
Requirements:
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar position.
- Basic knowledge of Windows Office and Autocad.
- Basic knowledge of production processes (assembly/final assembly/bolting).
- Analytical capability.
- Managing and supervising, giving clear direction to others.
- Plan and organize, deciding and initiating activities well in advance.
- Apply expertise and technology, creating and innovating new ideas, approaches, or insights.
- Draw up reports.
- Communication skills at all levels.
- Present and communicate information, checking performance against deadlines and milestones.
- Problem-solving.
- Experience in leading a team (1 to 50 persons).
