School Meal Program Management Opportunity at Norse Group

We are seeking an experienced School Meal Program Manager to oversee our catering services for schools in the West Exmoor Federation, ensuring exceptional food quality and customer service.

Job Overview:
  • Lead a small on-site team to prepare and deliver high-quality meals to students, adhering to nutritional standards and menu planning guidelines.
  • Develop and implement a varied menu using locally sourced ingredients, promoting healthy eating habits and meeting dietary requirements.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to analyze labor costs, optimize kitchen operations, and contribute to budget-friendly solutions.
  • Ensure a clean, safe, and well-maintained kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8.30am - 1.30pm, term-time only.
  • An estimated salary of £12.09 per hour (£25,147.20 pro rata).
  • Experience leading a busy kitchen environment, organizing staff, and being hands-on with meal preparation and cooking.
  • Knowledge of menu development and costing, promoting healthy and nutritious meals.
  • A relevant qualification in Food Hygiene, applied within a catering environment.
