Job Title: Production Scheduler

Lakeland Dairies Co-operative Society Limited is a leading dairy processor on the island of Ireland, with a complex and ambitious business model. The company has a milk supply pool of 2 billion litres of milk, sourced from over 3,200 family farms across 16 counties.

The company operates modern dairy manufacturing facilities in 8 locations on a cross-border basis, supplying a broad customer base, including blue-chip companies, across the dairy food ingredients, foodservice, and consumer food channels in Ireland, the UK, Europe, and globally. Internationally, the company exports 240 different products to over 100 countries worldwide.

The Agribusiness Division (Lakeland Agri) operates a state-of-the-art Animal Feed Manufacturing Facility, providing high-quality feeds and agricultural inputs to dairy, beef, and sheep farmers across the north and south of Ireland.

Job Summary:

This is a rewarding opportunity for an individual to take operational responsibility for providing an efficient interface between Planning, Operations, and Purchasing to create and maintain daily and weekly Production Schedules for the site. The goal is to achieve the highest level of production efficiency, lowest level of material waste, and minimum changeover times.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement daily and weekly Production Schedules to optimize production efficiency and minimize waste.
  • Collaborate with Planning, Operations, and Purchasing teams to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
  • Monitor and analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and implement changes as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
  • GCSE Maths & English at grade C or above (or equivalent) or demonstratable experience from within a production or planning based role.
  • Proficiency in the use of IT systems (ERP system plus MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
  • Excellent planning, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Previous experience of using SAP and working experience gained within a food manufacturing or FMCG environment would be advantageous.
