Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mobile Engineer to join our team at CRA GROUP LIMITED. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out day-to-day repairs, improvements, and programmed maintenance as directed by the M&E Service Manager.

Main Responsibilities
  • Carry out mechanical and electrical works as necessary, ensuring a high level of productivity and working within timescales and targets.
  • Work in accordance with legislative requirements, council policies, and procedures, as well as industry best practice.
  • Undertake both scheduled and reactive works at a range of sites across the borough.
  • Maintain effective communication via telephone and other mobile devices.
  • Work in a variety of environments, including inside and outside, and be exposed to all weather conditions.
Key Accountabilities
  • Complete works in accordance with appropriate risk assessments and safe systems of work.
  • Work under the supervision of the Building Services Manager.
  • Be responsible for various mechanical and electrical works at a range of sites across the borough.
  • Complete and record accurate details of work undertaken on handheld devices and in hard copy runsheets.
  • Work with Information Communication Technology (ICT) systems, such as Concherto, to receive, monitor, and sign off maintenance tasks.
Essential Requirements
  • The ability to work with minimum supervision and in accordance with the Lone Working procedure.
  • Knowledge and understanding of electrical and mechanical systems in multi-user sites.
  • The ability to complete documentation, such as risk assessments, safe systems of work, permit to work inspection checklists, timesheets, run sheets, and stock sheets.
Essential Qualifications
  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience of working in a Building Maintenance environment, both in a mechanical and electrical capacity.
  • Appropriately qualified in a relevant trade.
