Job Overview

Eddie Stobart is seeking a skilled HGV Class 1 Driver to join their team in Rugby. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering and collecting non-refrigerated baked goods to RDCs, as well as general haulage for customers such as Cemex, CGE, and Britvic.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver and collect goods to RDCs and customers
  • Operate HGV Class 1 vehicles safely and efficiently
  • Conduct manual handling, drop and swaps, and general trunking
  • Meet and exceed customer service expectations
Working Hours

The role involves working night shifts, Monday to Friday, and any 5 days from 7, including one weekend shift. Shifts are available on a day and night basis.

Salary and Benefits
  • Mon-Fri Days: £14.50 per hour
  • Mon-Fri Night Shift: £15.90 per hour
  • Saturday and Sunday Day Shift: £18.00 per hour
  • Saturday and Sunday Night Shift: £18.50 per hour
  • Bank Holidays: £18.81 per hour

Additional benefits include 28 days paid holiday, fully paid uniform and PPE, fully paid DCPC training, and reimbursement of statutory LGV Driver Medical and Eye Tests up to £100.

Requirements
  • 6 months Class 1 experience
  • Valid HGV 1/C+E Licence, DCPC & Tacho Card
  • No more than 6 points on your Licence with no DD/DR Code convictions
  • Ability to understand and comply with Driver's hours and WTD legislation
  • Excellent communication skills
