Job Description:
Transformative Tax Leadership Opportunity
We are seeking a seasoned tax professional to lead our tax function's transformation and establish best-in-class processes and procedures. As the Head of Group Tax, you will develop and execute the global tax strategy, aligned with business objectives, and provide strategic tax advice to support business growth and M&A activity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and Execute Global Tax Strategy: Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement a comprehensive global tax strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Lead Tax Function Transformation: Oversee the transformation of the tax function, implementing best-in-class processes and procedures to optimize tax efficiency and minimize risks.
- Provide Strategic Tax Advice: Offer strategic tax advice to support business growth, M&A activity, and other key initiatives, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations.
- Manage Tax Compliance: Oversee tax compliance across the group, mitigating risks and ensuring accuracy in tax reporting and payments.
- Build Relationships: Establish and maintain strong relationships with tax authorities, external advisors, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Drive Tax Efficiency: Identify opportunities to improve tax efficiency and implement initiatives to optimize tax processes and reduce costs.
Requirements:
- CTA (or equivalent) qualification and extensive global tax experience.
- Proven track record in leading and developing high-performing tax teams.
- Strong understanding of tax implications of complex business structures.
- Experience in managing tax risks and compliance in a global organization.
- Significant experience in dealing with tax authorities and advisors.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- A pro-active individual who enjoys working collaboratively as a team.
- Treasury experience is desirable.
