Job Title: Ocean Import Agent

At Expeditors, we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Ocean Import Agent to join our team. As an Ocean Import Agent, you will play a critical role in ensuring the timely and accurate movement of freight and information, while providing exceptional customer service within the Ocean Import Department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Log and prepare files for import, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Receive and process documents, maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
  • Monitor shipments, identifying and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and customers, providing exceptional customer service.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry knowledge and best practices, continuously improving operational efficiency and productivity.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, responding to emails and requests in a timely manner.
  • Escalate problems to management when necessary, ensuring prompt resolution.
Requirements:
  • Global logistics industry knowledge and experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Fluency in English.
