Workshop Recruitment is seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fire and security systems, with a focus on installation, service, and commissioning of intruder alarms, CCTV, and access control systems.

The Role:

  • Install, service, and commission a wide range of fire alarm systems, including conventional and addressable systems.
  • Interpret system design and liaise with other building service suppliers to ensure compliance with relevant electrical safety standards.
  • Carry out small works, including system additions and alterations, in accordance with BS5839 and BS5266 standards.
  • Respond to system breakdowns and perform fault finding and maintenance tasks to the required standard.
  • Work on industrial, commercial, public, and retail contracts, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation, service, and commissioning of fire alarm systems.
  • Interpretation of system design and liaison with other building service suppliers.
  • Carrying out small works, including system additions and alterations.
  • Responding to system breakdowns and performing fault finding and maintenance tasks.

Requirements:

  • Strong background in fire and security systems.
  • Experience in installation, service, and commissioning of intruder alarms, CCTV, and access control systems.
  • Knowledge of relevant electrical safety standards, including BS5839 and BS5266.
  • Ability to interpret system design and liaise with other building service suppliers.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
