Job Title: Electrical, Instrumentation and Control Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical, Instrumentation and Control Engineer to join our team at WJF Technical Support Limited.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to company policies and statutory requirements.
  2. Support the delivery of electrical, control, and instrumentation engineering activities, including vendor and contractor management.
  3. Conduct engineering surveys for new installations, site upgrades, and equipment removal or replacement.
  4. Design and implement electrical, control, and instrumentation systems, including functional safety, and create associated documentation using standard software packages.
  5. Prepare support documentation, training materials, and training for end users.
  6. Install and commission electrical, control, and instrumentation equipment.
  7. Apply software engineering skills to EC&I systems, including Allen Bradley, TBox Programming, Pilz Programming, and network device setup.
  8. Maintain the Company SCADA system.
  9. Investigate and resolve faults in EC&I systems and equipment.
  10. Practice good cybersecurity techniques and promote correct use of IT and C&I equipment.
  11. Report and progress fault resolution via IT support contractor.
  12. Ensure maintenance and integrity activities are conducted in compliance with company Major Accident Hazard processes and procedures.
Requirements:
  1. A recognized qualification in Electrical, Control, or Instrument Engineering, such as a HNC or Degree.
  2. Knowledge of Oil & Gas Operations and hazardous areas is desirable.
  3. Experience with engineering documentation, including block diagrams, PFDs, SLDs, P&IDs, C&E charts, Schematics, Wiring drawings, Data Sheets, and safety critical elements.
  4. Ability to design and implement industrial-based control systems.
  5. Experience with communication devices.
  6. Experience with various SCADA platforms, especially for the Oil & Gas industry.
  7. Good understanding of basic programming, ladder logic, scripting, and SQL database.
  8. Basic understanding of Cybersecurity.
  9. Competent in Modbus serial and Modbus TCP communications configuration.
  10. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
