About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Consultant Psychiatrist to join our Community Mental Health Service at Livewell Southwest. As a senior clinician, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to community patients via outpatient clinics, working closely with medical and operational management to make informed decisions about patient care and service provision.

Main Responsibilities

As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be expected to:

  • Provide expert psychiatric opinion on a full range of emergency and routine clinical situations
  • Apply evidence-based approaches to manage clinical problems
  • Teach undergraduates and communicate effectively with patients and staff
  • Participate in Continual Professional Development and contribute to the development of the organisation

Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Eligibility for full registration with GMC with a licence to practice
  • Inclusion on the Specialist Register in Psychiatry at the time of taking up the Post
  • Extensive experience in Community/Adult Psychiatry
  • Knowledge of Mental Health legislation
  • Participation in Continual Professional Development
