About the Role

The FP&A Team is a core part of the wider Marex Finance Team, which is continuously improving to help drive and support significant business growth across the Marex group. As a Regulatory Legal Counsel, you will assist the Legal team with the management of legal risk arising from the Marex Solutions OTC derivatives business and advise the business directly on legal and regulatory issues that impact OTC derivatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Reviewing the viability of new product types and structures and the legal issues arising therefrom.
  • Liaising with external and internal stakeholders and clients, both in the UK and overseas (including external counsel, the internal trading desk, other control and support departments, and various agents).
  • Assisting the Legal department with other urgent or ad hoc matters from time to time.
Requirements
  • A strong and broad understanding of financial markets and products.
  • Intellectually curious and keen to learn about new products and legal structures.
  • Flexible (i.e., ability to adapt to change/approach to work, ability to multi-task).
  • Strong academic results, including 2:1 or higher.
