The company is planning for substantial expansion over the next few years and requires a specialist in cloud infrastructure to help improve existing systems using best practices.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for coaching the team on cloud infrastructure improvements, analysing current infrastructure, suggesting enhancements, and implementing these changes to optimize functionality and facilitate scalability. They will work independently, with a focus on technical decisions, and have the autonomy to drive project implementation.

The Cloud Infrastructure Specialist will also be responsible for implementing advanced cloud services, including automation through infrastructure as code (IaC). This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is eager to showcase their initiative and creativity while working in a collaborative environment.

Some key responsibilities include:

  • Improving Azure functions and ensuring they meet best practices
  • Applying security measures in accordance with industry standards
  • Implementing advanced Azure services and automating cloud infrastructure using IaC

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in cloud infrastructure, specifically Azure, and will be able to transform and enhance existing systems. Experience in leading projects and driving them forward is highly desirable.

  • Proficiency in cloud automation to improve scalability, reliability, and efficiency

In return for their expertise, Cathcart Technology offers a competitive salary range of £50,000 to £70,000 per annum, plus benefits such as private health insurance, flexible working arrangements, and opportunities for professional development within a rapidly scaling company.

The company is currently relocating to a central location in Edinburgh and supports hybrid working, requiring candidates to be based locally.
