Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced SEND Teacher to lead a small class of children with Autism in a renowned specialist SEN provision. This is an exceptional opportunity for a passionate and creative teacher to make a profound impact on the lives of young learners, with the potential to take on a leadership role. As a SEND Teacher, you will be responsible for leading a small class of young children with Autism using creative, engaging, and individualized teaching strategies. You will create lesson plans tailored to each child's Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP) and incorporate Music, Drama, and the Arts into your teaching to captivate and motivate your learners. You will also develop strategies to enhance the children's independence and overall wellbeing and work closely with teaching assistants, support staff, parents, and external specialists.

Candidate Requirements:

We are looking for a teacher who:

  • Has Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in SEND, particularly Autism.
  • Possesses strong knowledge of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and complex needs, with a talent for adapting teaching strategies.
  • Brings a creative and dynamic approach to teaching, inspiring a love for learning.
  • Is passionate about making a tangible impact on the lives of children with SEND.
