The role involves working within a talented technical team, consisting of mechanical and electrical design engineers. You will report directly to the Technical Director and contribute to the company's success by delivering high-quality designs and solutions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Mechanical design of complex machinery systems
  • Creating detailed drawings and specifications for new components and assemblies
  • Developing bills of materials and ensuring compliance with CE Machinery Directive/UKCA requirements
  • Maintaining existing design data, including processing engineering change notifications (ECNs) and converting 2D CAD designs to 3D models

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in an automated industrial design environment
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks, with experience using Product Data Management (PDM) Vault
  • Familiarity with pneumatics, programmable logic controllers (PLC), and electro-mechanical systems
  • Knowledge of the Machinery Directive and CE/UKCA Marking regulations
  • Experience with filling and capping machinery systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and experienced Design Engineer to take their career to the next level. The estimated salary range for this position is £55,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience.
