Job Summary

United Living Group is seeking a skilled Gas Engineer to join our team. As a Gas Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out service, repair, and commissioning of gas appliances, heating systems, and other related tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Attend allocated service and breakdown calls, as well as ad-hoc jobs as directed by the gas admin team or gas operations manager.
  • Keep an up-to-date check on van stock and replenish stock from stores as needed.
  • Ensure all necessary tools and equipment are available to carry out tasks assigned.
  • Manage time effectively, work independently, and complete tasks to a high standard.
  • Carry out domestic gas testing and commissioning procedures in accordance with manufacturers' instructions and current gas regulations.
  • Identify and mitigate unsafe situations, and complete make-safe procedures as necessary.
  • Complete all necessary gas certificates, commissioning documents, and job sheets.
  • Be contactable during working hours and update the admin team on paperwork.
  • Participate in out-of-hours call-out rota for emergency service contracts.
  • Work additional overtime as required.
  • Provide excellent customer service, communicate effectively with residents, and maintain a professional image.
  • Mentor apprentices, assist in training programs, and provide feedback to the gas ops manager.
  • Understand and apply health and safety principles, complete dynamic risk assessments, and other relevant H7S documents.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year left on ACS Gas qualifications.
  • Hold CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1 qualifications.
  • Recommended: HTR1, MET1, and HWSS (G3) qualifications.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday, until 5pm. 1 hour lunch break. Full uniform and safety equipment supplied.
