Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing System Technician to join our team at GENEWIZ. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for the assembly and testing of our Sample Stores and Bio Stores.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble and test Sample Stores and Bio Stores, ensuring high-quality products are delivered to our customers.
  • Work closely with engineers to set up and calibrate equipment, and perform troubleshooting and testing tasks.
  • Use electrical engineering drawings to terminate cables on automated units and fault-find using a multi-meter.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop and implement methods and procedures to improve productivity and efficiency.
  • Prepare technical reports summarizing findings and recommending solutions to technical problems.
  • Provide guidance and support to non-exempt personnel and lead or supervise activities within a team lead function.
Requirements
  • HNC or further education study to City and Guilds level, or a recognized apprenticeship.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
  • Experience with mechanical assembly of basic mechanical sub-assemblies.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft PC-based software (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Working knowledge of electrical systems, wiring diagrams, and electrical fault-finding using a multi-meter.
