About the Job

Sonderwell seeks a Support Worker with a passion for working with individuals with Autism and Learning Disabilities to join our care team.

This role involves providing support to a client in their own home, assisting with daily living tasks, and promoting her emotional and physical well-being.

As a member of our team, you will benefit from full training, a supportive team environment, and opportunities for career development.

Our ideal candidate will have experience in supporting individuals with LD, but previous complex care experience is not essential.

  1. Provide person-centred support to the client, focusing on her needs, preferences, and goals.
  2. Assist with creating and implementing individualised activity plans to promote her engagement and participation.
  3. Foster positive relationships with the client, her family, and other members of the care team.
  4. Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the client receives seamless support throughout the day.
  5. Contribute to ongoing training and professional development within the care team.

Requirements:

  1. Experience in supporting individuals with Autism and Learning Disabilities is essential.
  2. Previous complex care experience is not required, but an open, flexible attitude and the ability to learn new skills is a must.
  3. Ability to work effectively as part of a team, communicating with colleagues and supervisors to ensure seamless support for the client.
